Most of the Belgian market research agencies are member of Febelmar which currently has 29 members.
The joint turnover of the Febelmar members in 2009 was about € 150 million and the members account for more than 85 % of expenditure in the field of research in Belgium. The big agencies are also member of international groups.
Our members are continually investing in new methods and techniques in terms of collecting, processing and analysing data. Thus we constantly strive to develop our competence in and knowledge of market research and marketing information. The fact that our members employ more than 700 people with higher education underlines the importance that our sector attaches to such competence. This high level of competence is well recognised abroad: more than 30 % of our activity and analyses are conducted in foreign markets.
